Dvärgkochin, (Dwarf kochin) is a breed of dwarf hens from China and is a so called original dwarf, which means that there are no similar breeds in full size. The breed has excisted in Europe since the 1800-hundreds. It is a robust and hardy dwarf breed that has a very calm manner that is easy to get tame. It is also a good egg laying breed. There are many approved colour variations of the Dwarf Kochin, and even some that are groomed. A hen weighs about 750 grams and a rooster is about 850 grams. The eggs are light and weighs about 30 grams. The hens happily lay on their eggs and they look after their baby chickens very well.
Hedemorahönan is a Swedish country breed that originated from the valleys. These chickens have a long tradition as wedding gift and have been on farms in the area of Hedemora as long as anybody can tell. Hedemorahönan are medium in size and come in a variety of color variants. Roosters weigh about 2-2.5 kg and hens 1.5-2 kg. The chicken is often quiet and fearless.
Skånsk Blommehöna is also a Swedish country breed. It is from Skåne in the South of Sweden. It is the largest Swedish country race. The rooster weighs about 2.5-3.5 kg and the chicken 2-2,5 kg.
